CeBIT, the world's largest  Information and Communication Technologies expo, is being held each spring on the world's largest fairground in Hannover, Germany.

CeBIT 2010 will have Spain as partner country. In words of CeBIT’s  organization, the election of Spain as Partner Country has been done due to the spectacular development in the field of Information Society in last years.

CeBIT 2010 edition will be held between the 2nd and the 6th of March.  In addition, it is a remarkable fact that Spain holds the Presidency of the European Union Council within that dates.

Spain will join CeBIT with a huge representation of Spanish ICT companies that will be located within Spanish Pavilions. There will be Spanish Pavillions in the following Halls:

  • Hall 3: Software
  • Hall 6: Webciety
  • Hall 8: Green IT
  • Hall 9: Future Parc
  • Hall 11: Bank and Security
  • Hall 13: Telecomunications

Spain’s important achievements in the field of ITCs and Information Society have, to a great extent, been possible thanks to the cooperation between central and regional governments. To reflect this reality, the Autonomous Regions have been invited to participate in the Spanish central Pavilion. At the Spanish central Pavillion, an auditorium will be installed where sectorial conferences, demos and videos will take place.

Additionally, Spain is organizing the Night of Spain, the 2nd of March, where high representatives from the ICT field will be present.
